Streamline created layout drawings of the new premises incorporating existing furniture, but also allowing for the addition of new – both those we were providing, and those they may choose to add at a later date. We then relocated this furniture using our in-house team to guarantee that it got there safely.
The new furniture we supplied and installed included meeting tables and chairs, a reception desk, monitor arms, upholstered desk screens, desks, operator chairs, and plenty of storage. In short, everything that a modern, efficient, office should have if it wants to be as good as it can be.
Before we could undertake this relocation, however, we had some work to do on the premises themselves. We reconfigured the existing kitchen, blocking-off the kitchen entrance onto the hallway and creating a new office side entrance. We then removed all the tiles and plastered the walls, as well as plaster boarding and skimming the ceiling. We finished it off with new Gloss Ivory wall and base kitchen units and a granite worktop.
We reconfigured the plumbing to accommodate the new kitchen, and supplied and fitted a Quooker Safe Boiling Hot Water tap. Despite the name, this is a versatile piece of kit, which provides filtered hot, cold, and chilled water. The addition of LED light fittings and the relocation of power points (and addition of new power points) completed the room.
Beyond the kitchen, we moved a data point into the boardroom to feed a wall-mounted TV, and relocated the entrance phone into the main office area. We reconfigured the plumbing to the toilets and supplied new toilets, basins and vanity units, before laying new vinyl flooring, new vinyl also laid to the kitchen, stairs and corridor, giving the whole office a smart new look.
Other work we undertook on the premises includes the supply and installation of a 2-way audio door entry system along with the appropriate power, the supply and fit of vertical blinds, and a top-notch cleaning service for the existing carpet tiles.
The end result is a premises which does Eadie Young proud, being just as modern and efficient as the services they offer to their clients. And, most importantly if the company’s recent track record is taken into account – offers plenty of room for further expansion down the line!
